Ottawa Handmade Markets Happening This Fall

There's something special about browsing through a thoughtfully curated mix of local makers, and it's no secret that Ottawa has its share of talented folks. After a restful summer, we're excited to finally get back onto the market scene and start selling our wares at local handmade markets across the city of Ottawa.

Mark your calendars! Here's a list of handmade markets happening in Ottawa this fall that you don't want to miss!

1. 613 Flea

What: 613 Flea Market
Where: Aberdeen Pavilion, Lansdowne Park
When: September 20 & 21, 2019*
Fee: Free entry for all (pets welcomed)

613 Flea is a not-for-profit marketplace where Ottawa's creative community, along with entrepreneurs and small businesses,  showcase their products and creations. You can expect everything under the sun from pre-loved vintage clothing to tasty jams and confections. New to the marketplace is the licensed nigh market which kicks off on Friday, September 20, then continues the next morning (not licensed) the next day. *Birch Jewellery will only be vending on Saturday, September 21.

2. Etsy Made in Canada Ottawa

What: Etsy Made in Canada Ottawa
Where: Carleton University Fieldhouse

When: September 27, 28 & 29, 2019
Fee: $5 entry, kids 16 + under free (excludes night market)

We've been participating in Etsy Made in Canada here in Ottawa for six years now! This year promises to be a good one, featuring 190+ Etsy sellers from across the Ottawa Valley (and beyond). The annual market kicks off on Friday, September 27 with a special pre-ticket night market. The highly-anticipated preshow is for die-hard shoppers who want first access to all the handmade goodies. A limited number of tickets are available, so grab yours here before they sell out! The market is open to the general (but equally as awesome) public on Saturday and Sunday. 

3. Something  New Edinburgh

What: Something New Edinburgh Handmade Market
Where: Memorial Hall, 39 Dufferin Road
When: November 2, 2019
Fee: TBD

Something New Edinburgh is hosting its fifth annual handmade market this year. The carefully curated, intimate event features some of Ottawa's finest hand-makers and artisans and is always draws a great crowd. We look forward to attending for a second year in a row. 

4. Mistletoe & Ivy Handmade Market

What: Mistletoe & Ivy Handmade Market
Where: allsants Event Space
When: November 16, 2019
Fee: $2 entry, kids 16 + under free

Mistletoe & Ivy aims to promote and support local handmade artisans and social enterprises, while providing their guests with a diverse and friendly shopping experience. Kick-start your holiday shopping at this must-attend show!
